I'm building one on SC:

redemption craft wep (any mace/scepter that gets CB) - 25% CI
holy armor - up to 20% CI
dscale with 2 bers - 12% CI
switch: oblivion wand - ctc lvl 6 fade which is 48%CI. the fade lasts like 4 minutes or so, which is enough time, and it also has a 10% ctc on striking, which with smite is only a few seconds before it goes off. I have one skill point in redemption on mine for when i switch to recast fade, im still CI without the redemp craft weapon on.

this gets you 100% CI. The rest is all life. My pally has almost 6k base life and is only lvl 92.

The other is just a normal tank pally for him that can take a couple hits:

war and then all blood crafts basically (weapon, rings, gloves, diadem, ammy). Put as much as you can into vit (your war shouldnt require anything higher than archon plate, and your highest str gear should be dscale at 148 str). Mine uses all 20 life scs (well, as many of those and then the rest 19s/18s). With a great oak and BO and really good crafts/gear, he can hit 40k life.

I'm a fan of:

- Spirit Ward with Uber ruby/topaz/sapphire - gives up to 24% of each sorb, gives 110% of each of fire/cold/light res (and 50 poison), also has a CTC level 5 fade when struck, which adds 5% DR and a good chunk (~40 i think) res.
- brand javelin - for amp reasons, also good ias to keep leeching
- tyraels - best mods on a defensive armor, 20% Dr, 50 all res, 10% max life, 10% magic res which is very rare, and 4 sockets to throw 4 uber diamonds in
- COA - 33 res, 10% DR, 3 slots filled with uber diamonds. Kiras can work as well, as it has a 4th socket, but i think the DR% is more important here. You can always fill that 4th socket with a ber to even out the dr%. A blood craft can work here as well...4 sockets with life and leech, slot one with ber for dr% and the rest with diamonds, but that may lack some res you may want.
- rising sun - one thing only... sorbs. A perfect rising sun and a perf ward with the gems i listed above gets the merc 39% of each sorb, 1 under the cap.
- worldstone granite - 10% DR, 1 all skills, 10 res, shockwave to stun when he is mobbed
- shadowdancers - 10% DR
- gloves - i like blood craft gloves here... life, leech, CB
- rings - blood crafts definitely.

My setup gets my merc 50% DR, 35-40% all sorbs, maxed res in hell, 20%+ leech, and a lot of base life from vblood crafts (which gets multiplied a lot by oak sage from your windy, and bo from ondals). Also, the diamonds in armor/helm make him much better off.

Best endgame windy gear IMO:

Enigma
Ward- 2x Ether, 1 Soul Skull
Horizon's- Frost Tear'd, or w/e if you feel the pierce is useless.
Ravenlore- socket with Amn runes if you can't get some good crafts, max out DR% via Ber runes, or cold facet(ew).
Mancers boots
WSG belt
Mother Nature gloves
Crafted +2 Druid caster ammy with 33%+ FCR
Crafted druid 20% FCR rings(preferably blood)

Pick up 20% FHR from charms and this setup will put ya at,

163% FCR(10 FPC)
99% FHR(6 frame recovery, necessity on a windy IMO)
86% FBR(5 frame block, ditto the FHR)
75% Block
32% DR%

Windy's are most effective when you tele right on top of mobs so the majority of your nados hit multiple times(the hit delay is funky, try it with slow missile and cream yourself). That's why I'm such an advocate of those faster hit/block recovery BPs which everyone seems to overlook. The only real problem I've run into with this setup is mana, which is easily fixed by using a HHG or Lidless for trash.

A2 mercenary for a curse bitch is ideal. Brand javelin is easily the best weapon for them as you can equip a shield with it.
